Biography
Chris Hazelwood, CPA, CFE is a financial executive with more than twenty years of experience in public accounting, management consulting, healthcare operations, and executive leadership. Throughout his career, he has advised hospitals, physician groups, healthcare service organizations, and private businesses on matters involving finance, operations, strategic growth, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise performance improvement.
As both a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Chris has led organizations through periods of rapid growth, operational transformation, liquidity challenges, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. His experience includes developing financial infrastructure, implementing accounting and finance best practices, improving revenue cycle performance, establishing key operating metrics, and executing enterprise-wide performance improvement programs.
Prior to his executive leadership roles, Chris worked as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial statement analysis through his work with large publicly traded companies.
Chris was recognized as a Tampa Bay Business Journal "CFO of the Year" honoree for his leadership, financial stewardship, and contributions to organizational growth and performance improvement.
Chris is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and is a proud graduate of the University of Florida's Master of Accounting program.
